BIO
Brain Rays is UK-based music producer, Benjamin Hudson. Known for his up-tempo, high pressure output with Quiet and frequent collaborations with Techno legend, Neil Landstrumm, his music has been released on Acroplane Recordings, My Techno Weighs A Ton, Seagrave and Loose Lips. His tracks with Landstrumm have found their way to influential dance music labels such as Unknown To The Unknown and Kille Kill.
He is a part of queer collective and Bangface Weekender residents, DOOMSCROLL, and co-founded the infamous Wrong Music crew alongside DJ Scotch Egg, Shitmat and Matt Lambert (Roger Species).
His recent album, SLIME has found support from the likes of dBridge, Yushh (Noods), DJ Seinfeld, 96Back and Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6Music). The breadth of styles spanned within the release are reflected in his DJ sets which pay little heed to tempo and effortlessly glide between Hip Hop, Techno, Footwork and Jungle, all filtered through his unique approach to sound design.
He has performed all over the world, including Transmediale Festival (Berlin), Today’s Art (Den Haag) and Boomtown (UK), as well as two live sessions at Radio 1’s legendary Maida Vale Studios.
